Privacy policy

SpiritSpud ("we", "us") is a small, independent wellbeing business run by Alex in Bolsover, Derbyshire. This policy explains, in plain English, what personal information this website collects and how it is used.

What we collect and why

When you send a message through the contact form, we collect:

  • Your name and email address, so we can reply to you.
  • Your telephone number, if you choose to give it, so we can call you back about a booking.
  • What you're interested in, any preferred times, and your message, so we can answer helpfully.

We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to book, to arrange your appointment. We do not use it for marketing, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we never sell or share your details with third parties for their own purposes.

Health information

Please don't include detailed health information in the contact form. A simple mention that you'd like to discuss something is plenty. Any health details needed for a treatment are discussed privately at your consultation.

How your message reaches us

The contact form is processed by our website hosting provider (Netlify), which passes your message securely to us. Their processing is governed by their own privacy terms.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics that identify you. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Purchases on Etsy

Products such as the Time For Me journal are sold through Etsy. When you buy there, your order details are handled by Etsy under Etsy's privacy policy (opens in a new tab); we only receive what Etsy shares with sellers to fulfil your order.

How long we keep things

Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any booking that follows, then deleted in the course of normal housekeeping.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Just ask via the contact form and we'll sort it out. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab), though we'd always hope to resolve any concern with you directly first.
